We're hiring a Systematic Reviewer!

Position Summary:

The Climate Change and Global Health Research Group in the School of Public Health is seeking a Systematic Reviewer to support the development and completion of one or more literature reviews. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to interdisciplinary research at the intersection of climate change and population health.

The successful candidate will play a key role in conducting systematic/scoping literature reviews, working closely with content experts, research librarians, and faculty members. A strong background in health research methodology, particularly scoping or systematic reviews, as well as familiarity with climate and health literature, is essential for this role. Specifically, the candidate will be required to:

  • Collaborate with team members, including content experts and librarians, to develop a protocol and refine scoping review search strategies

  • Conduct primary and secondary screening of articles

  • Retrieve and organize full-text articles from multiple databases and sources

  • Design and pilot data extraction tools

  • Extract relevant data and assist in organizing it for analysis

  • Conduct basic data analysis and synthesis using tools such as Microsoft Excel

  • Support the drafting, editing, and formatting of manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals

  • Assist with referencing and citation management using software tools (e.g., EndNote)

  • Ensure all work aligns with best practices for transparency and reproducibility in evidence synthesis

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience conducting or supporting systematic or scoping reviews (experience with Cochrane reviews is an asset)

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools

  • Experience using evidence synthesis platforms such as DistillerSR and/or Covidence

  • Familiarity with academic databases such as PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, etc.

  • Proficiency with EndNote or similar reference management tools

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a research team
